Agriculture Victoria, with support from the Benambra, Dinner Plain and Omeo Landcare Group, invite producers to a drought support workshop.

This workshop will focus on managing in the current drought conditions and Autumn planning to take advantage of any seasonal break to rebuild feed and fodder reserves.

The day will start with a farm walk looking at crop and pasture on Ferguson’s property, Limestone Road Benambra with Manager David Pooley.

Presentations and discussions will follow lunch on selecting suitable species, preparation for sowing, crop and pasture management.

A session on livestock nutritional requirements and feed budgeting, will also be presented.

The day will finish with the opportunity to look at further crop and pasture examples at Hinnomunjie Station.
